
Exploring people and place: using collections to provide a sense of place and engage social communities
A family/local history event is planned for Friday 5th June to be held at the Universities at Medway. Topics covered will include Kent Archives, using online resources, special collections at UKC, involvement of the local community, etc.

Tessa Towner, Friends of Medway Archives
Steve Holland, University of Kent
John Chambers, Chatham Historic Dockyard Librry
Brian Jarrett, Kent Family History Society.
Free places available to KILN members. This event will run from 10.00 - 3.00 and will include refreshments upon arrival and a buffet lunch. There will also be an opportunity to tour the Drill Hall Library.
