KILN: Promoting Co-operation Among Information Professionals

Kent Information & Libraries Network, a registered charity, aims to support the provision of high quality library, information and advice services through collaboration and networking so that the clients and users of KILN member organisations may be more fulfilled and knowledgeable members of society.

The network will provide a framework for the dissemination of information about the activities, services and resources of its members and by facilitating collaboration and co-operation between them.

KILN was officially launched on 20 November 2000 following wide-ranging discussions with information and advice providers in the Kent and Medway areas.

Its membership currently comprises a mix of organisations from sectors as diverse as education, health, the voluntary sector, public libraries and commercial organisations.
